About KSAT Hyper

KSAT (Kongsberg Satellite Services) is developing a new service called Hyper. Hyper enables near-real-time satellite data delivery  — serving defense, Earth observation, climate monitoring, and commercial missions.

We’re entering a critical phase: demonstrating our capabilities and preparing for commercial rollout. To support this, we’re hiring a Business Development Manager focused on funding acquisition, structured sales process development, and close coordination with KSAT’s global sales organization.

 

Your Role

As Business Development Manager, your focus is on fueling Hyper’s growth — by securing strategic funding, enabling repeatable sales processes, and ensuring tight market feedback loops.

 

1. Funding & Proposal Development

  • Identify and track national and international funding opportunities 
  • Lead and coordinate funding proposals for selected opportunities, including customer pilots, infrastructure co-financing, and demonstration extensions
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and external partners to build compelling, technical sound submissions
  • Maintain relationships with funding bodies and act as a point of contact for relevant calls and partnerships

 

2. Sales Process Development & Enablement

  • Responsible for developing Hyper’s structured sales process — from initial discovery through proposal and close
  • Responsible for the sales support materials: pitch decks, datasheets, value propositions, and offering templates
  • Define and document repeatable workflows for qualification, onboarding, and proposal generation
  • Support discovery calls and early-stage customer conversations to gather insights and validate needs
  • Help translate commercial opportunities into aligned product/service positioning (in close collaboration with the GM)

 

3. Sales Team Coordination & Feedback Loops

  • Act as Hyper’s coordination point with KSAT’s regional sales and key account teams
  • Responsible for ensuring the sales org is trained, informed, and supported in positioning Hyper offerings
  • Establish fast and structured feedback loops between sales and the Hyper venture — enabling rapid iteration on messaging, offering formats, and customer priorities
  • Track pipeline activity and early signals from the market to inform the broader commercial strategy

 

What You Bring

  • 5–8+ years of experience in business development, grant proposal leadership, or commercial enablement in the space or tech sectors
  • Proven success securing public or institutional funding for complex technical programs
  • Experience developing B2B sales processes, sales collateral, and early-stage customer engagement
  • Strong coordination and communication skills — with internal teams, sales organizations, and external stakeholders
  • Familiarity with satellite services, EO markets, or space communications is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Significant relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
