Cloud Infrastructure Engineer / Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

 

About the role

KSAT Lite is a growing service within KSAT, delivering advanced ground network services. We are looking for an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to take ownership of our Infrastructure as Code strategy and shape the future of our cloud platform. You will work closely with engineering and product teams, with direct influence over the architecture underpinning our critical systems.

 

The position can be based in Tromsø or Oslo. Candidates must be eligible to obtain Norwegian security clearance, this is a firm requirement for the role.

  • Cloud network and infrastructure architectures
  • Bicep and Terraform
  • Ansible (AWX)
  • Amazon CDK
  • On-prem to cloud migration planning
  • RBAC and access control for operations systems
  • API key rotation for internal services
  • High availability and disaster recovery design

 

What you bring

  • Solid experience in cloud infrastructure and security architecture.
  • Proven hands-on IaC implementation experience in production environments.
  • Strong understanding of High Availability design and disaster recovery principles.
  • Ability to collaborate across engineering teams and communicate technical decisions clearly.
  • Experience defining and enforcing standards and best practices at scale.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own and evolve the IaC strategy within KSATlite.
  • Keep cloud modules updated, maintainable, and well documented.
  • Define and execute the migration path from on-premises to cloud.
  • Implement API key rotation for internal services.
  • Define and enforce role-based access control (RBAC) for operations systems.
  • Raise security posture and operational reliability across the cloud platform.

  • Familiarity with CMMC, NIST, and/or NIS2 frameworks.
  • Experience with Kubernetes in production environments.
